A young family was looking to update their backyard for maximum usability and enjoyment. Removed was a dilapidated carport and guest house that spanned the entire width of the property, blocking access and views to the backyard – in its place now are two structures : a 2 car garage with kitchen and built in grill, and 1 car garage/covered porch combination. Between the covered porch and garage is an al fresco dining area lined in bluestone and lush plantings. A granite fireplace connects this structure’s vocabulary to the main house, along with the use of the gray shingle/white trim color palette.
