Wieuca Terrace

Two parameters were of utmost importance to this client – maintain the charm and overall feel of their 1940’s cottage, while adding enough space for a family of 6. This was accomplished by removing a poorly constructed addition, raising ceiling heights downstairs and up, adding a similarly proportioned gable to compliment the original roof line, maximizing the dimensions of lot, all while doubling their existing square footage.

Painted brick, gently curved elliptical arches, copper accents, and a porch and patio suitable for outdoor entertaining all contribute to the updated, yet classic feel of the house.  Much needed functional areas like a mudroom, a large, open kitchen, accessible laundry and light-filled breakfast rooms, and a playroom surrounded by the children’s bedrooms help keep the family organized and happy!
